About the Audio Joiner
Audio Joiner puts several sound files one after another in a single file. Join the parts of a recording, make one file of a podcast intro, the episode and its outro, or put songs together for a long playlist.
Put the files in order, choose whether a short silence goes between them, and save the result as MP3 or WAV. Files of different kinds and qualities can be mixed: they are all brought to one sample rate and to stereo or mono, so the result plays smoothly at the right speed.
Everything happens in your browser. The files are never uploaded, so private recordings stay on your device.
How to use it
- Choose 2 to 20 sound files: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus or FLAC, or videos whose sound you want.
- Drag them, or use the arrow buttons, to put them in order.
- Choose the silence between files, and MP3 or WAV.
- Press Join files and wait for the progress bar. You can cancel at any time.
- Listen to the result and download it.
Features
- Mixed files: MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC together, at different sample rates, in mono or stereo: everything is brought to one shape.
- Sound of videos: Add an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV video and only its sound is used.
- Silence between files: No pause, or half a second up to five seconds between two files.
- MP3 or WAV: MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps for a small file, or WAV (16-bit) for editing.
- Private: Joining runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Examples
A podcast episode
Join an intro jingle, the recorded talk and an outro into one MP3 at 192 kbps.
Voice notes
Put three voice memos from a phone together, with a second of silence between them.
A practice playlist
Join several songs into one long WAV for a dance or music practice.
Limitations and notes
- The joined sound takes the highest sample rate of the files (at most 48 kHz) and is stereo when any file is; mono files are played on both sides.
- Files are joined end to end: there is no crossfade and their volumes are not evened out.
- At most 20 files and four hours together. The new file is kept in memory until you download it.
- Reading the files needs WebCodecs (Chrome, Edge and Safari 16.4 or newer; Firefox 130 or newer). A file this browser cannot read stays in the list and is left out of the joined file.
- Song information (title, artist, cover) is not copied into the joined file.
Frequently asked questions
Can I join files of different formats?
Yes. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC and the sound of videos can be mixed; they are all converted to the format you choose.
Why does the joined file have a different sample rate?
One file needs one sample rate, so all files are brought to the highest rate among them (at most 48 kHz). The speed and pitch stay the same.
MP3 or WAV?
MP3 is much smaller and plays everywhere. WAV keeps every sample and is better if you will edit the sound further.
Can I fade one file into the next?
Not here: the files are joined end to end, with or without a silence between them.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Joining runs in your browser and the files never leave your device.
